The beginning (2020)
Hi, I'm Jose, the founder of StartupStarter.
We've spent years watching founders wrestle with the same obstacle—not ideas or ambition, but coordination. Everything that makes startups exciting also makes them chaotic: fifteen tabs open, twenty tools that barely talk to each other, and a nagging sense you're missing something important.
In 2020, we started StartupStarter with a simple belief: a new era was coming—one where anyone could start a company in a weekend. All you'd need was a computer and a good idea. If that was true, someone had to build the infrastructure that makes entrepreneurship streamlined for everyone.
The early days
Before StartupStarter, we built custom AI solutions for private‑equity firms—modeling risk, analyzing data, and writing code that could spot what humans miss. We built things people didn't expect small teams to build.
When the pandemic hit, we started as an online community for founders offering free resources and weekly classes. That grew into a large conference and an educational platform, and eventually one of the largest networks for founders and investors in Los Angeles.
Somewhere along the way we realized: we didn't need more tools. We needed one place to run everything.
Building the workstation
So we built it—an all‑in‑one workstation for founders. Finance. Calendar. CRM. Docs. Capital. AI. Not another bundle of widgets, but a true operating surface for the modern company.
